The Center of Excellence in Disaster Management & Humanitarian Assistance (COE), in conjunction with the U.S. Pacific Command and the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations (UNDPKO), will sponsor an international seminar entitled "Multi-Echelon Training for Peacekeeping". Invitees will be from military, government, civilian police, and non-governmental organizations from select nations in the Asia-Pacific region, including a component of military members based in Hawai'i.

The focus of the seminar will be on methods of integration of all aspects of peacekeeping training, including: training methods, use of peacekeeping centers, distance learning, professional development, and UN Standardized Training Modules. Participation is by invitation, through participating governments and militaries.
